A turtle a day keeps Karma at bay-part 2

Box Turtle

A turtle a day keeps Karma at bay

A quick update on my turtle adventures. I got number three and four Saturday. Another good day for cycling and saving turtles. Turtle number four was the biggest box turtle I had ever rescued and was also the most aggressive as he (or she) gave me a little nip on the finger as I was taking up a hill into the woods. I don’t count that as an ungrateful act of defiance, it may have just been having a bad turtle day. Hopefully I made its day better by preventing it from becoming another turtle pancake.

I will keep pedaling and saving all the turtles I can.

That turtle looks like Fred…(my box turtle). Turtle bites are brutal! Mine thought my finger was part of the carrot once. I will never forget that. Man oh man. I thought he could take my finger right off!

  2. Pleased you save the turtles! I seem to be rescuing a lot of bees at the moment as they hurl themselves into my cup of tea, fall in the sink, land on the cats…
