A Poem: The creation to create

In the beginning there was a space

A place in need of joy and love

Blackness engulfed the whole

Hearts harden by an icy past

Shadows cast a distant memory

There had been light once,

Though none was allowed to penetrate

Rooms of forms mixed in emotions and flavors

Spinning in a melody of pulsated sensations

A chilly welcome for those who intrude

Words spoken, lines imitated in a drunken haze

But some sounds were different

Slow and serene through a soft approach

It started with a touch, a movement between two

The warmth felt fresh, life requires heat and time

Slowly one became two, through a dance like no other

Flesh on flesh, a motion for love to spread

As lust gave way to passion, a melding by fire

A sudden commitment beyond hope

With tokens exchanged, circles marked for view

Two planets began colliding in a single orbit

Changes of seasons to learn the cues

When a seed was spread, a cycle began

This miracle started, a creation moving forward

Natures arrival, warmed to the touch

With tenderness expressed in a mother’s breast

Beyond the pain, the soft glow of a small soul

Now, simple love becomes complex

Life requires heat and time

An original composition by the author of Ends and Beginnings
