A Poem: Water

Water 2

There is no life without me, I was here in the beginning

I bring grace and destruction in the same breath

My motion carves mountains into pebbles,

While quenching the thirst of all creation

I am time, in liquid seconds, I will always win

Abuse me and you will suffer

Take me for granted and you will perish

My forms are many and my methods are vast

You may believe I can be tamed, but I tame you

I will follow my course, and you will always pursue me

Accept my power and live within my confines

There is no life without me, a weary future, a dry extinction

An original composition by the author of Ends and Beginnings

About ends and beginnings blog

I am a frustrated writer and poet waiting to be discovered. A stand-up philosopher performing on a street corner near you. A Christian with questions but I don’t want to hear your answers. A Buddhist with a bumper sticker on my truck to prove it. A collector of quotes. A grower of lettuce. The Patron Saint of earthworms who name their children after me. A cyclist whose big ass strains the seams of his Lycra bibs. I am American by birth, Southern by the grace of God. My goal in life is to leave an imprint on the lives of the people I love not a footprint on the earth. I am a son, a husband, a father composed of 65%-Oxygen, 18%-Carbon, 10%-Hydrogen, 3%-Nitrogen, 3%-Diet Coke and 1%-Oreo.

So, so true … We will never tame water … 😉 ❤
Peace, love & respect for all nature,
Sherrie Miranda’s historically based, coming of age, Adventure novel “Secrets & Lies in El Salvador” is about an American girl in war-torn El Salvador:
Her husband made a video for her novel. He wrote the song too. You can go to her Home page to watch it:
