In an article in USA Today titled In Trump Nation, healing is overrated, one Trump supporter states that the President-elect can unite the nation by “finding common ground on issues that transcend ideological lines.” His suggestion, Trump should consider moving the Super Bowl to Saturday or to the Sunday of Presidents Day weekend so revelers won’t have to go to work the next day. Yea, that is just the kind of solution I am looking for from my new President. I can already guess what his tweet would be “Look at all the beer, chicken wings, peanut and chip sales my Presidency is responsible for! Let’s keep America drunk, fat and stupid again.”
In the meantime, two days before his inauguration or as he describes “People are pouring into Washington in record numbers. Bikers for Trump are on their way. It will be a great Thursday, Friday and Saturday!” what is our President-elect worried about? Important stuff; “No wonder the Today Show on biased @NBC is doing so badly compared to its glorious past. Little credibility!” and this “Totally biased @NBCNews went out of its way to say that the big announcement from Ford, G.M., Lockheed & others that jobs are coming back to the U.S., but had nothing to do with TRUMP, is more FAKE NEWS. Ask top CEO’s of those companies for real facts. Came back because of me!” It’s funny, the top CEO’s of those companies were actually asked and yes these moves, many of them in the works for years, had NOTHING to do with Trump. But hey, who are you going to believe?
Honestly I don’t need for him to move the Super Bowl. I think the best way for all of us to spend the next four years is to start drinking beer, today, and eat our weight in chicken wings, peanuts and chips for the next 48 months. It will at least numb the pain and put us on equal footing intellectually (and physically) with his basket of deplorables. Maybe Budweiser is the solution, the magic elixir that cuts through all the bullshit, all the bluster and soon to be realized empty promises. Budweiser and a red baseball cap.
I suppose you’ve heard he’s not even going to start his presidential duties until MONDAY! Heck, the country can run itself just fine for a couple of days. ( I predict this will be a regular thing during his term in office.)
Let’s just hope no major disaster comes along because, gosh a-mighty, he might actually have to act like the POTUS!

Had not heard that. It may just take his hair a few extra days to recover from all the toxics he will have to use to keep it in place for three days. Just a thought.

HA-HA! True enough (about his hair). 😀
I was alerted to this by someone who commented on my blog and referenced an Australian(!) news article. Since then, it’s been confirmed by several other news sources. I find it curious that more of the news media isn’t zeroing in on this …
Here’s one article: http://www.salon.com/2017/01/17/donald-trump-is-micromanaging-his-inauguration-parties-then-taking-the-weekend-off/

In the VERY long list of what is newsworthy about this guy it probably doesn’t make the top 50. Rachel Maddow on MSNBC (9pm) is having a field day with all the crap circling around this him. I am surprised Trump hasn’t tweeted about her. I can only guess she “a butch lesbian” terrifies the guy. For me, her show is the best thing on tv next to The Big Bang Theory of course 🙂

The replies are hysterical! My favorite: “Who is translating from the original Russian for you?”

Oh, god, I could not stop laughing while reading this. Very valid points, however.

A Trump supporter here in Ireland finished his rant on radio by saying that he won the election democratically and that we should all get over it. “There are more important things to worry about.” Such as ? God help us all !!!!

Sadly, Trump would probably get a lot of support for this as there are so many football fanatics in this country. 😔😒😞😣😢
