“My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by
@Nordstrom. She is a great person — always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!” – Donald J. Trump tweet 2-8-17
The New York Times: Melania Trump Inc. Imperiled “The timing of the story was particularly injurious, according to the lawsuit, considering that Mrs. Trump “had the unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, as an extremely famous and well-known person, as well as a former professional model and brand spokesperson, and successful businesswoman, to launch a broad-based commercial brand in multiple product categories, each of which could have garnered multimillion-dollar business relationships for a multiyear term during which plaintiff is one of the most photographed women in the world.”
The average Trump deplorable can’t afford his suits, can’t pay the green fees at his golf courses, or stay in one of his hotels. If the truth be told he wouldn’t want one of those rednecks blowing fart bubbles in his pools. Macy’s dropped him, and now Nordstrom, T.J Maxx and Marshalls are dropping his daughter. Melania Trump “as an extremely famous and well-known person” is concerned now, according to a recent lawsuit, that the only outlet for her “brand” will be QVC.
“There’s a targeting of her brand and it’s her name. She’s not directly running the company. It’s still her name on it. There are clearly efforts to undermine that name based on her father’s positions on particular policies that he’s taken. This is a direct attack on his policies and her name. Her because she is being maligned because they have a problem with his policies.” – White House press secretary Sean Spicer
I don’t suspect President Trump will be destitute or broke after holding America hostage for four years but I do believe his brand will be stained, and the gold will be tarnished. There will be people, companies and organizations who will patronage his holdings to gain favor, or maybe an audience with the king. But the people who put him in power will never have the privilege nor the opportunity to experience the TRUMP brand unless he creates a clothing line for Wal-Mart, made in China of course, or he opens a putt-putt golf course in Dollywood.
And to think, the circus has only been in town for the three weeks.
