What did you do this weekend?

Saturday –

“The failing @nytimes finally gets it – “In places where no insurance company offers plans, there will be no way for ObamaCare customers to use subsidies to buy health plans.” In other words, Ocare is dead. Good things will happen, however, either with Republicans or Dems.”

and,

“Wow, @FoxNews just reporting big news. Source: “Official behind unmasking is high up. Known Intel official is responsible. Some unmasked not associated with Russia. Trump team spied on before he was nominated.” If this is true, does not get much bigger. Would be sad for U.S.”

and,

“Thank you @JCLayfield — will get even better as my Administration continues to put #AmericaFirst”

Sunday –

“Anybody (especially Fake News media) who thinks that Repeal & Replace of ObamaCare is dead does not know the love and strength in R Party!”

and,

“Talks on Repealing and Replacing ObamaCare are, and have been, going on, and will continue until such time as a deal is hopefully struck.”

and,

“The real story turns out to be SURVEILLANCE and LEAKING! Find the leakers.”

Between binge watching Fox News, tweeting and playing a round of golf with Rand Paul this weekend I am surprised our President has any energy left. But he did find the strength to come-up with this clever question this morning; “Did Hillary Clinton ever apologize for receiving the answers to the debate? Just asking!” Seriously, “Just asking”? Absolutely amazing.

As the father of daughters and the uncle of seven nieces all within about five years old of each other I have heard the term “Just asking” a time or twenty. It is typically followed by an eye roll or huff. President Trump looks more like a huff kinda of guy though I bet he can pull the eye roll off with the best of them.

Every time our President tweets something like; @FoxNews from multiple sources: “There was electronic surveillance of Trump, and people close to Trump. This is unprecedented.” @FBI”  as he did twenty minutes ago I wonder who his audience is. Does he do this for his own benefit? Is it simply for an audience of one? Does he really think he is going to influence the decision-making process of the FBI by tagging their Official Twitter Page in his tweets? I am sure for his loyal supporters it drives the ratings for Fox News.

Representative Adam Schiff, the minority leader of the House Intelligence Committee, said this weekend; “I think his tweets tell the story. And the story is look over there – at leaks, and look over there – at anything the Obama administration we can claim did wrong on incidental collection or anything else. But whatever you do, under no circumstances look here, at me or at Russia.”

President Trump recently told the Financial Times about his Twitter use; “I don’t regret anything because there is nothing you can do about it. You know, if you issue hundreds of tweets and every once in a while you have a clinker, that’s not so bad.”

Information, disinformation, news, fake news, truths, and lies. I am not sure even the creative mind of Tom Clancy could make this stuff up. I hate to be a pessimist but I really worry about the security of this country and the ability of our Commander-in-Chief to actually lead.

Kim Jong-un, the supreme leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, doesn’t give a shit about you, or me. I can also assure you he isn’t afraid of our President or his administration. North Korea has an army of 1.2 million active soldiers and another 7.7 million in reserve. Kim Jong-un thinks nothing of killing his family members and wouldn’t bat an eye at sending 8.9 million North Koreans to their death defending not their country, but his oversized ego.

The world has enough infantile, egotistical, madmen. Do we really need another one running the show in Washington who plays fast and loose with the truth? Just asking.
