Who you gonna blame?…..OBAMA!

“If there’s something strange in you neighborhood, Who you gonna blame? (Obama!), If there’s something weird, And it don’t look good, Who you gonna blame? (Obama!)” – with apologizes to Ghostbusters

To date (and this could change when Donald wakes-up and starts tweeting) President Trump has blamed former President Obama for;

  1. Mike Flynn
  2. The botched raid in Yemen
  3. Organized protests
  4. Wiretapped phones
  5. Poor economic numbers
  6. Outsourced jobs
  7. Gangs across the United States
  8. Healthcare
  9. Problems in the Middle East
  10. McDonald’s pulling the McRib sandwich
  11. The cancellation of The Apprentice
  12. The bogey he got on #8
  13. The thirty pounds he has put on since November
  14. Why his wife stayed in NYC
  15. That KFC won’t deliver to the White House

I am trying to think back over the last 100 days or so, has President Trump taken the blame for anything? Have we heard him utter the phrase “I was wrong” or how about in the urban vernacular, “My bad”? Nope I can’t think of a single instance.

“Pride makes us artificial and humility makes us real.” –  Thomas Merton

It must be hard to live your life being that much smarter than everyone else. I can’t imagine the amount of pressure that would put on me, to always be right, never be wrong.

“Humility is the solid foundation of all virtues.” – Confucius

So to all you conservative Christians out there, let’s put your stance on abortion and the Supreme Court aside, would you say that your President has demonstrated his ability to “act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God” in his first 100 days? I would certainly love to hear your argument that he has and please feel free to offer any examples.

“A Christian reveals true humility by showing the gentleness of Christ, by being always ready to help others, by speaking kind words and performing unselfish acts, which elevate and ennoble the most sacred message that has come to our world.” –  Ellen G. White

From recent FB exchanges, it appears to me an equal number of folk would like to blame Trump for Hiroshima.

  2. Excellent use of quotes. After I paddle them senseless (oops, I forgot they must have been senseless prior to the election) I too would like to gather my evangelical neighbors, family, friends and ex-friends asking, “Really? This is what you voted for?”

You forgot the Twin Towers disaster. Yes, I know. It was before his time, but hey … he surely instigated it with his Muslim friends!

Well, sadly, this is the truth of #NotMyPresident. It will go down in history books that way. If it even makes it to the history books.
Peace, love & justice for all,
Sherrie Miranda’s historically based, coming of age, Adventure novel “Secrets & Lies in El Salvador” is about an American girl in war-torn El Salvador:
Her husband made a video for her novel. He wrote the song too. You can go to the Home page of her blog to watch it:

I always acknowledge there’s plenty the general public doesn’t know when it comes to politics, and it irritates me when leaders on either side take advantage of that necessary lack of information to play on our emotions. No doubt Obama made mistakes (of course he did), but you’re right, blaming him for everything is a ploy. I’m tired of all this partisanship. Why are we afraid of acknowledging the other party might do something right? They’re not the enemy, but we treat them that way. Shameful.
