What he doesn’t say

“Made additional remarks on Charlottesville and realize once again that the #Fake News Media will never be satisfied…truly bad people!” – Donald Trump 8-14-17

My Trumpcation is over.

So let’s state the obvious, the Alt-Right, white nationalist, neo-Nazis and the K.K.K. did not vote for Barack Obama, the black man with the Muslim name. They did not vote for Hillary Clinton, the socialist woman. They did vote for the guy that called Mexicans rapist and criminals, who called for a ban of Muslims entering this country, and the one who told his supporters to “knock the crap” out of protesters at his rallies. The Alt-Right, white nationalist, neo-Nazis and the K.K.K. believe they have a friend and supporter in Donald Trump and sadly he has not said or tweeted anything that dissuades them from believing this.

Over my Trumpcation much has happened in our country, like the bombing of a mosque in Minnesota. Not a word from Trump. And another horrible flood in New Orleans. Not a word from Trump. Why? Because these events didn’t affect his “people”. Do you understand the difference between his people and the rest of us? Can you see the difference? Trump has created and perpetrated a “us against them” mentality. He has stoked it, thrown gasoline on it and he does it every single day with his tweets and bombastic rhetoric.

During my Trumpcation North Korea, to use a very bad metaphor, blew-up. What also blew-up was Trumps approval rating, sinking like a stone in a muddy pond. Apparently Trump got one piece of intel from one intelligence agency (that some say he leaked to the Washington Post) that the North Korean’s had successfully manufactured a nuclear war head small enough to put on a missile. Keep in mind seventeen intelligence agencies confirmed that the Russians tried to hijack our elections, but Trump continues to call that fake news and refuses to say anything disparaging about Vladimir Putin or the Russians.

Let’s be very clear what the whole North Korea “thing” is about. It is not about protecting America or its allies it is about Trump pure and simple. It gives him the opportunity to talk tough and most importantly, and I cannot stress this enough, boost his approval numbers within his base. Kim Jong-un is basically Donald Trump, bad haircut and all. Like Trump he is playing to his supporters. He has created the same “us against them” mentality using fear, hate and threats. They are the perfect foils for each other, honestly they were made for each other and sadly we, the “them” will end up paying the price if it escalates.

The press has taken a lot of heat from Trump’s surrogates this weekend about their reporting that Trump has not called out, by name, the Alt-Right, white nationalist, neo-Nazis and the K.K.K. They claim, on the Presidents behalf, that he has “in the strongest terms” condemned these groups. He hasn’t, and as of 10:30 this morning, he still hadn’t. For a man who appears to never be at a loss for words on topics ranging from Obama to the Democrats to the main stream media or what a great job he is doing, he remains strangely silent on two issues, white supremacists and the Russians.

This morning Kenneth Frazier, CEO of Merck & Co. and one of America’s most prominent black businesspeople quit Trump’s manufacturing council over his failure to condemn white supremacists. Frazier stated; “America’s leaders must honor our fundamental values by clearly rejecting expressions of hatred, bigotry and group supremacy.” “Our” Presidents response in a tweet this morning; “Now that Ken Frazier of Merck Pharma has resigned from President’s Manufacturing Council, he will have more time to LOWER RIPOFF DRUG PRICES!” That is just the kind of witty retort the Alt-Right, white nationalist, neo-Nazis and the K.K.K. eat up and expect from their friend and supporter the President.

Trump spews a lot of words on Twitter and at his ego fueled monthly rallies but what we should all be listening for are the words he doesn’t say. Do you hear them? I certainly do and your children, my children are listening.

Please keep writing your Senators and Congress people. Maybe you feel like your concerns are falling on deaf ears. For some of you they probably are. But I am beginning to feel the tide turn. Trump is an embarrassment and unfit to govern this great country and more and more of our Representatives are beginning to accept this. Keep pressing, keep pushing, keep writing and please keep paying attention. I know it can be exhausting trying to keep-up with all the balls that are being juggled in this circus, but this is important, your voice is important and it needs to be louder than all the tweets, and all the bullshit we are being subjected too by “our” President.

It is somewhat disheartening to be called by name by the congressional and senatorial aides in my state when they answer their phones each day. Especially since they have confirmed they are not allowed to have ‘caller-id”, so it is indeed my voice they recognize. On the other hand, I know that whenever I do finally “meet” those senators and congressmen, they will know beyond a shadow of a doubt how I feel.

    • What you are doing Ms. Suze is the most important thing we can all do. I sent both of my Republican Senators an email early Saturday and later one of them tweeted; “We must stand together to condemn racism & violence. We are the American family, and will not be divided by hate.” Maybe my email didn’t have anything to do with that response, then again…..

I disagree with you completely about NK. Trying to reason with that regime has brought only frustration to every single President so long as it’s been in existence, and ANY President’s approval rating is prone to rise in response to a foreign threat.
As to white supremacy, I am trying to give Trump the benefit of the doubt. I can’t read his mind, and I certainly don’t know his heart. He has categorically condemned hatred and bigotry — ALL hatred and bigotry, which by definition must include that shown by the white bigots in recent days in Charlottesville. What he hasn’t done is condemn white bigotry IN ISOLATION FROM all other; and it may be his conscience won’t permit him to do so.
I shook my head this morning at a TV segment in which this white woman spoke of the need to eliminate “racism” from this country. “Don’t know you, b*tch,” I would have told her, “that” — in the view of those blacks whose views currently most impact me — “eliminating ‘racism’ means eliminating YOU.”
Perhaps Trump likewise has taken those particular black voices, which bill themselves as THE voices of black America, to heart.

    • WE created North Korea, WE created the threat and the fear. WE point weapons at them they sure as hell are going to point weapons back at us.

I love you William Tell and I love having you in my universe, but you and I don’t share the same view of Trump or racism. Different worlds my friend, different worlds.

well, here’s a Biracial woman saying “we need to end racism in this country”. It takes education. It takes every single one of us pointing to racists of EVERY color and saying that doesn’t cut it, is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Eliminating one race or another is not the answer. Hitler tried that..Stalin tried that..Trump is attempting it. That, my friend, is genocide and completely unacceptable to any reasoning, educated, and empathetic human regardless of skin tone.

  4. I shared on one of my posts that I wake up in the morning and instead of saying, “thank your Lord for this new day”, I say, “what will that idiot do today?” OMMMMM

I wish I could “love” this. “Like” seems so inadequate.

BTW, I provided a link to your blog to both of my Senators and told them you said what I felt but much better than I ever could. 🙂
