“Fascinating to watch people writing books and major articles about me and yet they know nothing about me & have zero access.
#FAKE NEWS!” – Donald Trump tweet 9-12-17
This guy, “our” President, tickles me at times particularly what he finds “Fascinating”. He exclaimed to the world this morning that there are people out there that “know nothing” about him. I mean come on, he has spent most of his adult life making sure that everyone knows everything about him. Trump has published 14 books about one subject and one subject only despite what the book titles say. Do you know the answer? Wait for it….Donald Trump.
We have known what is on his mind every waking moment since March of 2009 because of Twitter. Hell who needs access to him? He has basically provided the world with unlimited access for last eight years. In those eight years his little orange thumbs have typed out 36,000 tweets, roughly 12 a day. His tweets have ranged from egotistical rants, to just flat-out lies to the inane and the insane. This guy is an open book, a television star, a movie star, and in his mind a man for the ages who has provided unfettered access for decades. “Know nothing about” him? Please, Donald Trump has made damn sure the entire world knows just how “special” he thinks he is.
Despite all the attention the press has rightly been giving Hurricanes Harvey and Irma there is another Hurricane out that there that has one target, and one target only, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., Washington, DC. Trump and his current and former associates are all keeping a wary eye on Hurricane Robert Mueller and wondering when it will make landfall. Given the anticipation of the imminent destruction headed their way, everyone has lawyered up, heck, even the lawyers are getting lawyers. I love that part, lawyers getting lawyers.
Donald Trump’s ego has done himself no favors regarding the Russia investigation. He admitted to Lester Holt of NBC, much to the delight and dismay of Lester, and to a national television audience that he fired FBI Director James Comey because of the Russia investigation, a move that former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon just referred to as the worst mistake in “modern political history”.
“Our” President admitted on television, for the world to see, that he attempted to obstruct an ongoing investigation by firing the FBI Director. Why? Because he is smarter than the rest of us, so smart that he isn’t worried about the Constitution of the United States, or the rules of law he swore to uphold.
He has spent his life wiggling out of catastrophes, but this one is different. He is no longer just rich John Q. Public where enough money could buy your way out of most anything. He is the President of the United of States which grants everyone 100% access to everything he has done today, yesterday and for the days to come. Trump is on our payroll now which provides you and I with the “access” to utter his famous catch phrase, “You’re Fired”. At least for me it can’t happen soon enough.
“Although the law requires no reason at all to fire an FBI director the administration then chose to defame me and more importantly the FBI by saying that the organization was in disarray, that it was poorly led, that the work force had lost confidence in its leader… Those were lies plain and simple. And I am so sorry that the FBI work force had to hear them and I am so sorry that the American people were told them.” – Former FBI Director James Comey
