These are actual photographs taken of Chief of Staff, General John Kelly during his “bosses” UN speech. We will never know what he was thinking or what he was reacting too. Certainly it could have been when The Donald vowed to “totally destroy North Korea” or when he once again referred to Kim Jong-un as “Rocket Man” but this time on a world stage. The bottom line, many of us know how he feels, we have experienced the pain and angst he is expressing every time “our” President opens his mouth.
Ri Yong-ho, North Korea’s foreign minister, stated after Trump’s speech; “There is a saying that the marching goes on even when dogs bark. If he was thinking he could scare us with the sound of a dog barking, that’s really a dog dream”. In Korea, a dog dream is one that makes little sense. He added later when asked about Trump’s continued use of the term Rocket Man; “I feel sorry for his aides.” Look at General Kelly, I feel sorry for him too.
Here is the thing we all need to hope and pray that General Kelly doesn’t abandon the sinking S.S. Trump Titanic before it hits the Robert Mueller Russian investigation iceberg, which, by all indications, it is steaming towards at warp speed. At this point General Kelly seems to be the only rational, and sane human being standing between Trump and the launch codes for a nuclear strike on the rest of the world.
Trump has very few grown-ups supervising him right now which is more about Trump and the lack of prospects willing to work in his administration. General Kelly has purged several of the wackos that were enabling Trump but based on his ability and continued insistence on tweeting insane, asinine and irrational bullshit there are apparently still several left.
So lets all include General John Kelly in our daily pray. We need him to stay healthy, sane, and on the job. Trump needs a grown-up close by to help him pull his head out of his ass and his foot out of his mouth. He needs a babysitter because, well, he is Donald Trump.
