The irony of fake news

The YouTube video posted above is from the Trump Breaking News Network (TBNN). Now here is what you need to know about the video, the video is real and has been circulated millions of times on Facebook, Twitter, etc. by and among those in the Deplorable Nation. The content though is “Fake News”.

What the press is digging up and what I am sure special counsel Robert Muller is learning is that Trump is right, there is a lot of “Fake News” floating around and it would seem a large percentage of it helped, through the efforts of the Russian government, to get Trump elected President.

Now, it would seem a person of average intelligence would be able to slice through the bullshit of this video. Certainly the first clue for most rational, and sane human beings of its authenticity would be the mechanical voice. But apparently when we are talking about Trump supporters average intelligence and rational, and sane are not descriptions that apply. A sampling of some of the comments;

1. Go get the witch Trump, her life of tax payer luxuries is over!!!!
2. Never forget , at her husbands inauguration in ’08 she said ”FOR THE FIRST TIME I’M PROUD OF MY COUNTRY”. Apparently, being the ”wife” of a U.S. Senator was nothing to be proud of !  UPPITY TRANNY CHIMPANZEE!
3. Thank you President Trump. I greatly appreciate everything what your doing for this beautiful Country. God bless you and reward you abundantly.
4. omg this is just awful using our taxpayers dollars to buy 4 yachts i pray this is true president trump sent her a bill to pay if she can not pay, garnish or take away all of obama benefits he will not need them on death row anyway

Here is the “fun” part about the comments, some are genuine from real hateful and racist Trump supporters while others are from our comrades in the good old USSR. Can we tell them a part? Sure if you dig a little deeper which The Washington Post, and The New York Times is having a field day doing. But average Joe and Josephine Deplorable can’t or if they can, simply don’t care.

So do you see the irony in all of this? Trump and his supporters rail about “fake news” but “fake news” helped him win the election. He screams about leaks within his administration but he happily campaigned with what he learned from WikiLeaks. And as he continues to condemn “Crooked Hillary” for using her personal email the list of people in his own administration who were caught by the “fake news” for the same sin grows to include his daughter and son in-law.

Yes, it seems ironic that Donald Trump would be elected President but the real irony will come when special counsel Muller publishes his report that Trump colluded with the Russians and supported their use of “fake news” and email leaks to win the election. His impeachment or resignation will be an irony we can all support and celebrate.
