All Hope is lost

Five Communication Directors in thirteen months. Think about that for a moment. Trump has churned through five Communication Directors in just thirteen short months. Once again another feather in Trump’s cap. He did something it took President Obama eight years to do in just thirteen months. I am sure he is proud of that accomplishment. I wonder if he will Tweet about it?

The book All the President’s Men describes Richard Nixon, as his world is crumbling down around him, as becoming more isolated, rarely leaving his living quarters and watching television and reading a stack of newspapers delivered to him in the morning. There have been several press reports that Trump too has grown increasingly isolated, rarely leaving his quarters before 10 or 11 am and returning for a two-hour block after one, a break his schedulers reference as “Executive Time”. If you follow his Twitter feed at all you also know this is his watch Fox News and tweet time as well.

Losing Hope Hicks as Communication Director my not seem like a big deal on the outside, but to White House insiders she was referred to as the “Trump Whisper”. For whatever reason, well I know the reasons she is 29, tall and beautiful, she was the one person that could keep Trumps attention. She could deliver good news and bad and the White House staff depended on her to be a calming force when trying to reason with a volatile and unreasonable Trump. Hicks was the one who wrote Trumps notes for his “listening” session with survivors, parents and teachers of school shooting tragedies at the White House. She was also the person who included point #5, “I hear you”. She knows her boss isn’t a human being so she needed to remind him to at least fake it for a little while.

The turn over in this administration in thirteen short months is mind-boggling but honestly not really surprising. Not only has Captain Chaos filled his administration with inept and inexperienced people but he can’t find more inept and inexperienced people to fill the post that are still vacant after a year. The bottom line, no one wants to work with or for Trump, it just isn’t worth the pain or sacrifice which is probably the saddest commentary about his Hope-fully short reign.

So what will Ms. Hope Hicks do? I am sure get in the long and getting longer book deal line behind all of the other deposed of, kicked to the curb Trump aids. She never had any business being the Communication Director for the White House in the first place, zip, zero, none. She ultimately got the job through attrition which in itself is a telling condemnation. But don’t worry about Hope, she will be okay unless of course her “Little white lies” don’t come back and bite her and Daddy Donald in the ass. We can only Hope!

    Clever title … 🙂

I’m not sure if Scottie shared his story on your blog about the things his hubby encountered while working for tRumpsky some years back but he definitely confirmed how employees are treated. And I would be inclined to say things are no different in the Big House. Once a bully, always a bully.

On the other hand … there’s a lot to be said about him finishing his term because then we could get rid of TWO less-than-desirable individuals! Something to think about …

Except … I suppose there’s always that (horrors!) possibility he’d get voted in again.

Speaking of his staff not being qualified, did you hear that he wants to appoint his personal pilot as the head of the FAA? Hugs

Seems like every week another cabinet member is fired. A member that just the week before had Trumps fullest confidence. What’s that all about? Is Trump crazy, impulsive, incompetent, not good at surrounding himself with really “the best people”? Well, yes to all of that, but I have a theory.

The 25th Amendment allows for the removal of a president who is unable to fulfill the duties of the office. To enact the 25th amendment the Vice President and a majority of the cabinet need to agree. Could Trump be avoiding his own removal by firing cabinet members as soon as they realize the full extent of his psychopathy?
