Dos Anniversary

My how quickly time passes when Donald Trump is President. I just received a notice from WordPress that I have been at this blogging thing for two years. I am not sure I have accomplished anything in those two years, but never the less, I have filled the cyber world up with 832 post and roughly 375,000 words give or take.

For whatever reason those post have been read, shared and commented on by a bunch of you and for that I thank you. Occasionally people have taken exception to what I have written and I get to be snarky back at them. That is fun, to a point, but mostly I just ignore the haters. As Ron White says “You can’t fix stupid. Stupid is forever.”

So on my Dos Anniversary I want to thank many of you for your kind words, your thoughts, your ideas and your perspectives. Over the course of time, pounding out my simple post with two fingers, I have learned much more from you than you could have possibly learned from me. I have and will always contend that there are more kind, caring and compassionate people in this world than not and this silly little blog proves that point to me everyday.

These seem like trying times I know but as the late, great Stephen Hawking’s would remind us we are living through just a particle of universal time, a mere blip on the universes radar screen. A favorite and obscure quote that I love is from the Austrian poet and novelist Rainer Maria Rilke; Live your questions now, and perhaps even without knowing it, you will live along some distant day into your answers.” I attempt, everyday, to fill my life with questions, more than I can ever hope to answer. It is my pray that we will all continue to ask questions, to be curious, and to explore and maybe, we will all live along some distant day into our answers.

Peace and blessings to each of.

“The past, like the future, is indefinite and exists only as a spectrum of possibilities.” –  Stephen Hawking

About ends and beginnings blog

I am a frustrated writer and poet waiting to be discovered. A stand-up philosopher performing on a street corner near you. A Christian with questions but I don’t want to hear your answers. A Buddhist with a bumper sticker on my truck to prove it. A collector of quotes. A grower of lettuce. The Patron Saint of earthworms who name their children after me. A cyclist whose big ass strains the seams of his Lycra bibs. I am American by birth, Southern by the grace of God. My goal in life is to leave an imprint on the lives of the people I love not a footprint on the earth. I am a son, a husband, a father composed of 65%-Oxygen, 18%-Carbon, 10%-Hydrogen, 3%-Nitrogen, 3%-Diet Coke and 1%-Oreo.

  1. Happy Anniversary, my man! Thanks for sharing so much of your bike ridin’, nature lovin’, beer drinkin’, trump hatin’ life with the rest of us. I enjoy every single post you put out there, and I marvel at your prodigious output. I’ve been at this blog thing almost as long as you, and I’ve just got about 140 posts to show for it. Keep on with it!

  2. It’s my pleasure and inspiration to know you and read you. I always look forward to seeing your name pop up on the screen. And yes, re trump….this too shall pass. But, alas, what shall we write about then? knitting? flowers? poetry? recipes?

Here to encourage you again to keep on writing your marvelous articles. Right there with you on the asking questions every day. Some answers, I figured, will be revealed after our death, but it won’t stop me from searching. Maybe because I am a woman, maybe I am just stubborn, but I like to think because I care.
Congratz my dear Mr Legend. Looking forward to read many, many more written by you.
