“McMaster, who replaced Trump’s first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, a little over a year ago, is an intensely focused intellectual whose detailed briefings, by all accounts, drove the president crazy. Trump took to mocking him openly in the Oval Office, asking other White House aides why McMaster was so serious.” – Eliana Johnson, Politico Magazine

I read this article last night and I thought this statement summed up “our” President perfectly, whose detailed briefings, by all accounts, drove the president crazy”. The firing of National security adviser, H.R. McMaster was not a big surprise. Once again, Maggie Haberman with The New York Times and who Trump refers to as a “Hillary flunky” predicted it a week ago and as usual Trump denied it; “Just spoke to @POTUS and Gen. H.R. McMaster – contrary to reports they have a good working relationship and there are no changes at the NSC.” One week later, gone.

But McMaster, like former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson made a mistake, they talked bad about Russia and if we have learned anything in the last fourteen months, nobody, NOBODY, talks bad about Trumps best friend in the whole world, Vladimir Putin. At least Trump didn’t fire McMaster via tweet, oh no, he was watching John Bolton on Fox News, decided right then to make a change and rather than walking 100 feet to McMaster’s office and telling him face to face, Trump called him and told him on the phone.

Now here is the fun part, while Bolton was still being interviewed Trump tweeted; “I am pleased to announce that, effective 4/9/18, @AmbJohnBolton will be my new National Security Advisor. I am very thankful for the service of General H.R. McMaster who has done an outstanding job & will always remain my friend. There will be an official contact handover on 4/9.” surprising both the host of the Fox show and Bolton. Does the term impulsive, and flying by the seat of your pants sound like the way to lead this great nation?

I responded to a comment this morning from a Trump supporter telling him that my daughter called me last night after watching the news and hearing about the latest departure and the arrival of John Bolton to the Trump White House with one question “Should I be worried?”

For 28 years I have loved her, cared for her and protected her as best I could and for the first time in 28 years I had to tell her something that I didn’t fully believe, “Everything is going to be okay.”

We have a “President” that is being influenced and making policy decisions because of two regimes, Vladimir Putin and Fox News. We have a “President” that is making decisions and “moves” to change the headlines away from Russia, Porn stars and Playboy Bunnies. We have a “President” that is making decisions just because he feels like it.

Trump has assembled a new legal team that is not preparing to represent him in the charges special counsel Robert Mueller is currently accumulating against him. These new legal eagles have one purpose, and one purpose only to go on Fox News and defend Trumps upcoming decision to fire Mueller. It’s coming.

So back to McMaster, with his firing there is one less grown-up, one less babysitter to mind the adolescent in the White House. The chief of staff is next and the speculation is that Trump will not replace him. On the one hand, having grown-ups around Trump is a good thing, a safe thing for this country but on the other, this dumb-ass is so self destructive and impulsive we may not need Mueller to cook his goose. If you didn’t know it Trump is a sexual intellectual, he is a f*cking know it all.

George listened to Ms. Maddow last night, heard the news about Bolton, shook his head and said “darling, it is almost time for us to lean over and kiss our asses goodbye. if we are NOT involved in a nuclear war within the next three months I will be very, very surprised”…..he walked into the bedroom, got down on his knees and started praying. I have never seen him do that………..not in over 30 years of marriage. THAT frightened me more than anything else I have seen or heard since this moron was elected.

“Hard to see the future is…”, part of what Yoda said. Problem is all the futures I see with this president is grey, cloudy, and dark. Everything moves sideways with this crew. We can only do our best and hope. Hugs

  3. In the past I have smiled over a comment by on one of your devotees who said, “We are so f**ked.” I am no longer smiling. Yesterday’s WH activity has me worried. The moron-in-chief and his new appointments need to go to S. Korea and explain to the millions who are one step closer to annihilation how military action will benefit them.

    • The question is can congress and the senate find the moral fortitude to do something. I suspect, given that the dumb ass just threatened to veto a bill he HAD approved, that they are all wondering WTF as they head home for a 2 week break.

      • Yeah, that bill had bi-partisan support, trump got his military money, but not his wall money. We “snowflakes” were willing to compromise. The budget is $1.3 trillion, right? Over 1/2 of it is for military. Is there something wrong with this picture or does my math deceive me?

You mean, having baited me with that headline, you made me read the whole post just to find THAT?

I can’t help but wonder … are the deplorables so enthralled with their elected leader that they truly think he can do no wrong? Do they actually believe bringing on the war-monger Bolton is a “good thing”? And that we’ll just go in and “whup” No. Korea’s ass if Kimmy-baby tries to give us any more BS? And while we’re at it, we’ll just show Russia and Iran who’s boss as well?

If they truly support this perspective, have any of them considered that American just might not come out unscathed? Or are they so enthralled with the idea of MAGA that they’ve lost sight of everything else?
