Flattery will get you everywhere

“His only reference point is internal — ‘what will bring me what I need, what will fill this hole in me — get me the affirmation I crave’ — that is deeply concerning” – Former FBI Director James Comey’s psychoanalysis of Trump

The personal physician of the President of the United States, Rear Adm. Ronny Jackson, has withdrawn as Trump’s nominee to lead the Department of Veterans Affairs, a position he should never been nominated for. Why did Trump even consider a man whose only claim to fame was his willingness to lie about Trump’s weight? Flattery will get you everywhere with Trump.

The Department of Veterans Affairs has 300,000 employees and operates 1,200 medical facilities across the country. Rear Adm. Ronny Jackson has supervised a staff of 70 in the White House medical office and apparently, based on evaluations from his staff, not very well. Once again “our” President made a decision based on his “gut instincts” or as Comey noted, a decision that has nothing to do with any philosophical, religious or logical considerations, but one simply to subdue the deficiencies of his own character and emotional makeup. In others words, flattery.

For Trump, Jackson showed his loyalty by saying all the right things about his health and looked good doing it on television, all huge pluses for Trump. And as he has done in the past, Trump impulsively made the decision to fire David Shulkin and nominate Jackson all on Twitter without consulting any of his senior staff or even vetting the candidate beforehand. Trump, once again, blames the Democrats for ruining this mans reputation. In reality, Trump must shoulder all the blame for this but his ego simply won’t allow him to do that.

In the course of two days Trump’s pick to run the VA has withdrawn, his EPA administrator, Scott Pruitt, will appear before Congress to answer questions about his corruption and ethics in office, and Trumps personal attorney, Michael Cohen, is pleading the fifth in the Stormy Daniels case. What is the common denominator in all three of these events? The chaos and incompetency of Donald J. Trump.

James Comey portrays Trump as someone who can only think about himself and how he feels. Comey notes that Trumps “style of conversation was a series of assertions about great things he had done. The challenge I found was that they wash over you like a wave and even if you disagree, the waves keep coming. But that is the style, it’s ‘I’m great, I’m great, I’m great.'”

Trump, Sean Hannity and Fox News have spent the last two weeks attempting to discredit James Comey. I am sure the Deplorable Nation is on board but the majority of Americans aren’t by a 3-to-2 margin according to a The Washington Post/ABC News poll. Most Americans find Comey more believable than Donald Trump which is encouraging and tells me that the citizens of this great country are tiring of the Trump circus.

I refer to Trump as a Moron which is defined as someone with a mild intellectual disability. A person with a mental age of between 7 to 12 years and generally having communication and social skills enabling some degree of academic or vocational education. I will let you decide.

“Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart. Crooked Hillary Clinton also played these cards very hard and, as everyone knows, went down in flames. I went from VERY successful businessman, to top T.V. Star to President of the United States (on my first try). I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius….and a very stable genius at that!” – Trump tweet 1-6-18

  1. That last tweet is even funnier than the first time I read it. Only losers have to constantly remind everyone what winners they are.

  2. Thanks for your post. We must stay vigilant. We dare not allow ourselves to accept this POTUS and his administration as legitimate. Comey’s psychoanalysis is accurate.
