The National Enquirer President

National Enquirer

“So disgraceful that the questions concerning the Russian Witch Hunt were “leaked” to the media. No questions on Collusion. Oh, I see…you have a made up, phony crime, Collusion, that never existed, and an investigation begun with illegally leaked classified information. Nice!” – Trump tweet 5-1-18

“It would seem very hard to obstruct justice for a crime that never happened! Witch Hunt!” – Trump tweet 5-1-18

Sean Hannity was losing his mind last night when these 49 questions, questions Robert Mueller is supposedly interested in asking Trump, were published by The New York Times. Hannity wanted to make sure that the Deplorable Nation knew that these questions were LEAKED by an unnamed source and Hannity’s unnamed source told him that at least half of Mueller’s questions were TOTALLY DUMB.

As The New York Times reported, these were questions Mueller’s investigators gave then Trump attorney John Dowd at a meeting Dowd requested of the Mueller team and one week later, Dowd resigned as Trump’s lead attorney. When Dowd exited “Team Trump”, The Donald was rejected by a multitude of prestigious attorneys until his old pal, Rudy Giuliani, came in to save the day. What to know who leaked these questions? Look no further than someone associated with Rudy Giuliani.

Trumps “selection” of Giuliani isn’t a legal play, Rudy hasn’t tried a case in years, it is a media play. Trump wants to keep this case out of the courts and have it play out in the court of public opinion, read Fox News. And Hannity’s “unnamed source”? Come-on, you know who it is, none other than Donald J. Trump.

Between Trumps tweets, Fox News and I can’t believe I am even saying this, the National Enquirer, the Trump legal strategy of an all out media assault on Mueller, James Comey, and Hillary Clinton has been turned up several notches. It doesn’t take the greatest legal minds in the world to create a game plan of deny, deflect and discredit and for whatever reason Rudy is so starved for attention from The Donald that he is willing to risk his legacy or what little legacy he has left to jump on this sinking ship and be Trumps head cheerleader.

60% of Americans know how Trump can end this investigation. One, release his tax returns and two, sit down with Robert Mueller today. But that isn’t going to happen because Trump knows, as his former attorney John Dowd knew, that Trump is guilty of something and stupidity is simply not a sound legal defense.

So why did someone on the Trump side leak these 49 questions? To get Trumps attention the only way they could, through the television. And what is the message they are trying to convey? Simply, Mueller already knows the answers to all of these questions and Trump would be a fool, no an idiot, to sit down with him. Trump is no match for Mueller. It wouldn’t even be a fair fight. And one lie, one stretch of the truth could be enough to take Trump down and as one of his close friends noted about him, he lies as often as he breathes.

If this presidency sounds like a National Enquirer cover story sadly it really is. Hopefully, very soon, the National Enquirer can put the Trump presidency in its rear view mirror and get back to hard-hitting stories like “I was Big Foots love slave”. What does it tell us about the IQ of the Deplorable Nation that they prefer the coverage of National Enquirer over The New York Times? I will let you decide.

  1. Ahhh, but isn’t it great reading while checking out in the grocery line? So sad that some folks think it is legitimate news.

Isn’t the best/usual way to respond to charges when you’re truly not guilty is (1) ignore the charges knowing the truth will eventually come out, or (2) deny your guilt at the beginning (without cursing, shouting, deriding the accuser) and then let it go (again, knowing the truth will eventually come to bear)?

Oh wait. This would most likely be the way a MATURE individual would handle it.
