I am sitting in my favorite coffee shop watching the world spin. It’s a pretty Spring day in the south. The sun is shinning, the birds are chirping and the Millennial’s are doing business with their lattes and laptops.
I have had way to much caffeine this morning, a diet coke and two cups of black coffee. My regular tremor has morphed into an all out earthquake as I search for a job on LinkedIn. Tourist pop in and out asking me for restaurant recommendations and where there is a good brewery. There is an art festival this weekend so the city streets are packed with people from out-of-town. Men in Bermuda shorts and sandals and women in sundresses and straw hats fill every corner.
This is what is happening in my little corner of the universe. Meanwhile up in Washington it is becoming more clear just how deep, perverse and wide-spread the corruption is with “our” President and within his inner circle.
What the Michael Cohen revelations are documenting is that Trump, his family and the hanger-on’s are willing to sell this country out to the highest bidder. I have stated from the very beginning that running for President was a business move for Trump and had nothing to do with patriotism. Hell, he was as surprised as anyone that he was elected. He was just hoping to garner a place at the GOP table to fill rooms at his new Washington hotel. Instead, the American people gave Trump a blank check to rape and pillage our bank accounts and fill his and his minions.
When Cohen is indicted and he will be indicted, brace yourselves for corruption and conspiracy beyond your wildest dreams. Trump has already sacrificed Rudy Giuliani as one more body for the bonfire to protect him and we will have to wait and see who is next. Some think it is his son in-law Jared Kushner who Giuliani labeled in an interview recently as “disposable”. Cohen, at this point, is toast and I am sure Trump already knows that.
Special counsel Robert Mueller is months ahead of what we are just learning about Cohen and his pay to play scam. Mueller knows where all the bodies are buried the question is will those bodies turn on The Donald. Really what we all need to be concerned about is how far will Trump go to protect himself, his family and most importantly his money. He is more than willing to burn this country down to the ground to cover his ass-ets and World War 3 would be a good place to start.
This is a soap opera of epic proportions and sadly we are all involuntary actors in As the World Spins. As his base cheers him on the rest of us must sit on the sidelines hoping that someone or something takes this presidency down before it destroys everything in sight. In this battle there will be just one winner, Trump or America and it will be winner take all.
Switch to “decaf” maybe? He throws these threats around not caring about millions of folks like you and me, Sue Ming in Korea and Abdul in Iran who happen to be in harm’s way and just want to raise their kids and feed their families. We are all family and trump just does not get it.

Decaf? Probably. Your right LPB his actions go well beyond just our noses.

I am stunned by how openly sloppy Cohen and tRump have been about all this. I think the deep connection to tRump is why this was shifted partly to state court. Mueller can still charge Cohen in federal court for some obstruction / Russia connection charges. My wonder at this point is how many republicans in congress are also in this same simmering pot. Think of people like Devin Nunes and his actions to totally help tRump. Others who have been suspiciously suservent to tRump. Hugs

I suppose you saw the news reports that contradicted tRumpsky’s brag about bringing the hostages home … something that (he says) Obama couldn’t do. As usual, there is more to his brag than meets the eye. But his “base” will, as usual, remain ignorant of the truth.
