I have the absolute right to PARDON myself

President Obama was in office for eight years and in those eight years I don’t remember a tweet from him stating “I have the absolute right to PARDON myself”. I also don’t remember him being sued by a Porn Star, a Playboy Bunny or having his National Security Adviser plead guilty to lying to the F.B.I. or his campaign manager under multiple indictments. Obama was in office for 2,920 days. Trump has only been in office for 500 days. He certainly hasn’t accomplished jack-shit in those 500 days but the one thing you can say about his tenure to date is it hasn’t been dull.

Since Saturday “our” big orange doofus has been on a Twitter tear. Honestly between watching Fox News and tweeting all weekend I don’t know when he had time to do anything else like say planning for a summit with North Korea, or figuring out another way to screw our farmers. Below is a small sampling of what has been on Mr. Tangerine Man’s mind the last two days;

1. Real @FoxNews is doing great, Fake News CNN is dead!
2. There was No Collusion with Russia (except by the Democrats).
3. The U.S. has been ripped off by other countries for years on Trade, time to get smart!
4. “The only thing Trump obstructed was Hillary getting to the White House.”
5. Why wouldn’t the FBI or Department of “Justice” have told me that they were secretly investigating Paul Manafort
6. Paul Manafort came into the campaign very late and was with us for a short period of time
7. “Why are there people from the Clinton Foundation on the Mueller Staff?”
8. The U.S. has made such bad trade deals over so many years that we can only WIN!
9. By the time I finish trade talks, that will change.
10. The appointment of the Special Counsel is totally UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

Do you see a pattern? “It’s not me, it’s them”, a story-line which he has maintained over the course of his 500 days in office. This mental midget is pushing our country to the brink of Constitutional anarchy, a word adored by the Deplorable masses. Trump and his attorneys contend, as Nixon noted that “When the President does it, that means it is not illegal”. I am pretty sure that is not what Thomas Jefferson and the other Founding Fathers had in mind.

The Constitution was put in place to prevent autocracy from ever occurring, like the rule of the King of England in 1776. Trump, by stating that “I have the absolute right to PARDON myself”, indicates his total disregard for the Constitution by implying that he is above the rules of law that govern this country which takes us back to that fun word anarchy.

Trumps Deplorable base believe anarchy is the only way whites, who are projected to become a minority in the next couple of decades, can retain their control over this country which is why they and the Evangelicals turn a blind eye on Trumps immoral behavior. Trump uses fear, like Hitler, to drive the hoards down a path and towards a conclusion that will line his and his friends pockets. He has no interest in Making America Great Again, he wants to create an exclusive 1% with no middle class that will and can reign over the commons despite what the demographics dictate.

Trump’s economic strategy is simple, create conflict in the world markets which will choke out the middle class and put the bulk of the wealth in the hands of the 1%. All of the cuts he has made in regulations prove that point. The earth, like poor people, are expendable resources, put here to serve the needs of the few, the 1% sunning themselves down in Mar-a-Lago.

Franklin Graham has indicated that Trump’s victory was evidence that “God’s hand was at work” and I firmly believe Trump thinks so as well, except he doesn’t believe in God. He speaks as if he has the divine right of a king to rule and that he isn’t subject to any earthly authority. Why would he be so confident in stating that “I have the absolute right to PARDON myself” if he didn’t? But in Trumps mind God had nothing to do with The Donald’s “success”. Why would he share the credit?

My God, the God of love, compassion, grace and peace mourns the day Fred Trump’s sperm found its way to Mary Anne MacLeod Trump’s egg 73 years ago. I have a feeling the rest of the world will too.
