Delusional-They definitely don’t want Trump!

Delusionalcharacterized by or holding idiosyncratic beliefs or impressions that are contradicted by reality or rational argument, typically as a symptom of mental disorder.

“I’m very concerned that Russia will be fighting very hard to have an impact on the upcoming Election. Based on the fact that no President has been tougher on Russia than me, they will be pushing very hard for the Democrats. They definitely don’t want Trump!” – Trump tweet 7-24-18

Let me show you that picture again;

Donald Trump,Vladimir Putin

Now are we sure the Russians “definitely don’t want Trump!”? Yea, that’s what I thought too.

I have written on several occasions that I firmly believe Donald J. Trump is mentally ill beginning with the most obvious symptom, a narcissistic personality disorder. And now, with his latest Tweet, we can add Delusional to the diagnosis.

When I first read this tweet I thought it was from a parody account. Nope, it was the real thing. Then I thought maybe Trump was trying to be funny but then I remembered Trump doesn’t know how to be funny. He can neither deliver nor take a joke. That requires a sense of humor. He can, very cruelly, make fun of others but he takes himself entirely to seriously to be made fun and not pout like a three-year old.

So short of being a joke. Short of trying to be funny the only thing left is Delusional. What other way is there to explain it?

According to many experts Trump would not be the first President to suffer from mental illness. Teddy Roosevelt was thought to be bipolar. Richard Nixon abused both alcohol and drugs to medicate his insecurities, vindictiveness and suspicious behaviors. Even the “great” Ronald Reagan, who died from Alzheimer’s, displayed signs of dementia while in office.

Think about this for a moment, if you applied for a job at McDonald’s to flip hamburgers before they would even give you a spatula you would get a background check. Now think about what we do as a nation to check the fitness of a person to become President, barely anything. Basically we rely on the “fake news” to uncover any sinister skeletons in a persons closet. In the past these candidates helped the investigative cause by releasing their tax returns (Trump didn’t and still hasn’t) and medical records (remember Trump’s “Doctor’s note” which we have since learned he actually wrote; “If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.”) So in the end I guess the joke is on us. “We” elected a crazy piece of shit without doing any due diligence. We got what we paid for or, what the Russians paid for.

When this bat shit crazy megalomaniac rides off into the Mar-a-Lago sunset and before we make the same mistake twice we need to stress, no force our representatives to enact some common sense checks on the mental, physical, and financial health of individuals that aspire to become the President of the United States such as;

  1. Be examined by a non-partisan medical Doctor. Not a Gastroenterologist that looks like a refugee from a 1969 Grateful Dead concert.
  2. Be examined by a non-partisan Psychologist and take a psychological and personality test. Companies test individuals to sell vacuum cleaners why not take a test to become President?
  3. Release ten years worth of tax returns. This one should be a no-brainer which is why we are in the mess we are in now with our orange no-brainer.

So let’s read the Delusional tweet once again; “I’m very concerned that Russia will be fighting very hard to have an impact on the upcoming Election. Based on the fact that no President has been tougher on Russia than me, they will be pushing very hard for the Democrats. They definitely don’t want Trump!”

And just as a reminder, this is what we all heard last week, though this exchange has mysteriously disappeared from both the Russian and White House transcripts that were released- Reuters reporter Jeff Mason to Putin; “President Putin, did you want President Trump to win the election and did you direct any of your officials to help him do that?” Putin’s response; “Yes, I did. Yes, I did. Because he talked about bringing the U.S.–Russia relationship back to normal.”

Delusional, they definitely don’t want Trump! Do you believe him yet? Don’t worry he will keep tweeting it over, and over, and over again. And if you watch Hannity tonight he will say it over, Hillary, and over, Obama, and over, Comey, again.

  1. As your final sentence pointed out, this delusion is contagious. It’s just amazing what comes out of Mr. Cheeto’s mouth, that he and his Legion of Redcaps actually believe.

  2. Remember Tom Eagleton, ran with McGovern in 1972? Word got out that he had suffered bouts of depression in his past and folks said, “OMG, we can’t allow that in the WH.” He was forced to drop from the McGovern ticket. Nixon won that election and we all know how that worked out. How in hell did trump ever make to be the Republican nominee? Certainly not with his effusive personality and moral ethics. No, he had a bunch of great PR men/women, a better handle on social media, Russian allies, and STUPID supporters. This is not going to be resolved by compromise. It’s us against them. Sorry. Call it a civil war if you like, it is real and here right now.

    Trump, Nixon and Putin are just three examples of why I prefer a parliamentary style of government over a presidential style.
