Another letter to my Senator

“…….the country going through an impeachment trial would be traumatic and I think we should avoid that if possible.” – Lindsey Graham

Speaking on behalf of everyone in my family let me assure you that going through an impeachment trial WOULD NOT be traumatic. What has been and continues to be very traumatic is watching you and others within the GOP Brotherhood defend and support a man with absolutely NO REGARD for Democracy, the Constitution, the rule of law, the separation of powers, a free press, the equality and rights of every human being on this planet, science, the environment and the TRUTH.

Impeachment would be a fitting and well-earned asterisk next to Trump’s name. And when historians write about this sad chapter in America you, Mike Pence, Mitch McConnell, Jim Jordan, Devin Nunes, Kevin McCarthy, Bill Barr, Mike Pompeo, Rudy Giuliani and so many others won’t be just footnotes but will have entire chapters devoted to the masquerade, hoax and corrupt sham that was the Trump presidency that each of you protected and sustained without any regard for the well-being of this country.

As I have said before and I will say again your “legacy” will exclusively be tied to Trump. All of your eons of service will be condensed and melted down into four short years. And those “Speaking with @seanhannity on Fox News” segments will be your time capsules, constant reminders of where your loyalties truly laid, sound bites that will endure forever.

No Senator Graham I would welcome an impeachment trial. Maybe, just maybe it will provide the vast majority of Americans with the equilibrium and faith we need to heal and move beyond the childish antics of a bully who was and remains ill prepared to be the President of the United States.

Good letter. Too bad about the glaring misuse of the word “inexplicably” as what you meant was the opposite. A proper word would be “intrinsically.” Oh well, they probably won’t notice that.

Great letter. I called my senator, Richard Burr, and left a not so nice message.

  6. Wonderful letter! I hope you have a lot of followers … for two reasons:

    1. As many people as possible need to be shown how hypocritical many
    “Republicans turned Trumpists” have become.

    2. You say what needs to be said so eloquently.
