A sign that the apocalypse is upon us? Trump the Messiah?

Prophet Trump

“When Jesus was falsely accused of treason, Pontius Pilate gave Jesus the opportunity to face his accusers. During that sham trial, Pontius Pilate afforded more rights to Jesus than Democrats have afforded to this President!” – Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) on the floor of the House of Representatives today

Just when you thought the Republicans couldn’t get any wackier they pull the Jesus card out of their deck. Today I have heard over and over again that the Democrats don’t have any evidence and what “evidence” they do have is secondhand, or at best circumstantial, or at worst just an outright lie perpetrated by, cue the thunder, THE DEEP STATE.

We have also heard a lot about the “process”. That it wasn’t fair. Was done in secret. One-sided. That the President didn’t have the opportunity to defend his actions, call witnesses, face his accusers. How about fact-witnesses? According to the Republicans the Democrats didn’t allow them to provide or question any fact-witnesses, not a single one. Not one Biden. Not one Hillary. Not one Comey, no one. Never mind that Trump blocked all the real “fact-witnesses”, people that had the inside scoop, heard it with their own two ears, information about the perfect call. It’s almost as if Trump was trying to cover something up but we all know that can’t be true.

So Republicans have zeroed in on process, evidence, witnesses, hoax, witch-hunt, Lincoln, Jefferson, Washington, Madison, Larry the Cable Guy and from the man himself, the guy not worried about any of this shit we get this finely crafted tweet today; “SUCH ATROCIOUS LIES BY THE RADICAL LEFT, DO NOTHING DEMOCRATS. THIS IS AN ASSAULT ON AMERICA, AND AN ASSAULT ON THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!!!!”

Atrocious, don’t you wonder how long it took him to come-up with that word? Terrible, no. Vicious, maybe. Wicked, hmm, wicked. Atrocious, yeah, atrocious that’s it. Something Deplorables say everyday as in, “Damn this Milwaukee’s Best Ice taste atrocious”. And aren’t you glad to know that an assault on America is also an assault on the Republican Party? Hell who knew?

But Rep. Barry Loudermilk, Barry Dean Loudermilk from Riverdale, Georgia. Barry Dean. Sounds like a white, Baptist, Bible-thumper from Georgia doesn’t he? Well that’s what he is. Barry Dean compared the pussy grabber, the guy that has been accused of sexual harassment or sexual assault by 17 women, the guy that has been married three times and cheated on all of his wives even the current one, the guy that paid off a porn star and a Playboy Bunny with campaign funds, Barry Dean Loudermilk compared that guy to his own personal Lord and Savior, that’s right, Jesus Christ.

Barry Dean says that Pontius Pilate was more just to JC than the Democrats have been DJT. Never mind that Pontius Pilate had Jesus Christ beaten and whipped, thrown into jail overnight, marched through the streets carrying His cross, and then had Him nailed to that cross until He died. Yup sounds like Barry Dean nailed (no pun intended) that comparison. I see it don’t you? Trump is the modern day Messiah. But you got to wonder, what would Jesus think about that?

I am sure Barry Dean will say that he prayed about it, prayed hard about it. That those weren’t his words but the words God rain down on him, touched his tongue with as the snake handlers like to proclaim. Maybe his Jesus would agree with that comparison, but that is not the Jesus that I know.

“People are criticizing Rep. Barry Loudermilk for comparing Trump to Jesus, but out of fairness, he might be confused because of Trump’s tendency to turn anything into whine.” – Charlotte Clymer

Hello endsandbeginnings. I want to thank you. I have been listening to the hearing with a sort of split personality. It seems the Democrats and the Republicans are on two different worlds talking about two different presidents. Wow what a weird disconnect.

Thank you for putting it together in one post that helps make sense of this mess. How the Republicans can over look such clear crimes simply to protect their attempt to achieve total power over our country is stunning. Republicans are clearly saying they do not care about the constitution nor about crime as longs as they can cling to power. Power is their goal, it is their deepest desire. Hugs

  3. Again, I am reminded of a term used by a caller to an NPR program a few months ago when referring to people like Rep. Barry Dean Loudermilk of Riverdale, Georgia: Hypochristians

  4. Hypochristians – I LIKE that, Terry 😂. We Christians have needed a word to set “them” apart from the majority of us who still remember the real Jesus story and try to live/love it. Trump the messiah? Only if hell freezes over. Good post, brother.
