We are still waiting

“Tremendous evidence pouring in on voter fraud. There has never been anything like this in our Country!” – Trump tweet 12-15-20

Maybe you remember, after the Mueller report was completed, Trump went on television ranting about the “Russian Hoax” and informed Americans that Rudy Giuliani was almost finished with his powerful, beautiful report that would completely vindicate and exonerate him and prove once and for all that Obama was behind the “Russian Hoax”. We are still waiting.

Maybe you remember Trump telling America that thousands of miles of “new” border walls were being built between us and Mexico and that Mexico really was paying for it with new tariffs. Not only did Trump tell us he took a televised tour and showed us….what the model would look like. Oh, and Walmart and Target passed all those tariffs on to you and me when Mexico increased the cost on jeans and underwear. Trump only built about nine miles of new border wall. The other 414 miles that he “built” in four years for $11 billion of our hard-earned American dollars was not new but “improved” meaning they added a few 2 x 4’s to the old wall. You guessed it; we are still waiting.

Maybe you remember Trump telling us that he had come up with a health care plan that was “MUCH better, and FAR cheaper” than Obama Care.  The America-First Healthcare Plan would “deliver Americans better care, lower costs, and more choice”. For those select few that got to read the plan the common remark was, “damn, this looks just like Obama Care” and once again, we are still waiting.

Maybe you remember Trump telling us about a “VERY BIG & BOLD” $2 trillion infrastructure package he was working on. It would be “focused solely on jobs and rebuilding the once great infrastructure of our Country!” Trumps, “Infrastructure Week” became a running joke for the press. Whenever Trump needed a diversion or a subject change. Whenever the headlines about him weren’t flattering his ego or when the headlines were about someone else, Trump would resurrect “Infrastructure Week” until whatever crisis had passed, or the headlines had changed. No, we never saw or even sniffed an infrastructure package and yes, we are still waiting.

All these promises lead us to today, to this voter fraud, rigged election moment in history. An allegation that even the highest court in the land, the Supreme Court, won’t touch with a ten-foot gavel. A claim that no less than fifty lower courts have thrown out. But why? Trump says, Rudy says, Ron Johnson says, Ted Cruz says, Lou Dobbs says, and Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson say that there is no way on God’s green earth that the magnificent, the powerful, the brilliant Donald J. Trump could have lost to a lesser individual such as Joe Biden. Donald J. Trump has been perfect, or as Franklin Graham described him “one of the great presidents of our nation.”

But once again there is an itty-bitty problem. Despite Trumps constant tweets about a rigged election, ignoring the pressing issues that everyday 3,000 Americans are dying from COVID-19 or that Russia has been hacking us for six months, nobody on Team Trump has produce one piece of proof. Every case Trump has filed in the courts, except for one minor procedural issue, has been rejected. And here is the funny part, even though Trump and Rudy use the word “fraud” over and over again, in all of the court cases filed the word “fraud” is never referenced or even insinuated. Do you know why? They have zero evidence of fraud. They have zero evidence of anything. Their entire case is built around this phrase, “There is no way Trump could have lost!” Well guess what, 81,000,000 Americans disagree.

Trump and Rudy keep saying the proof is coming. Mountains of evidence. Powerful evidence. “Tremendous evidence pouring in on voter fraud. There has never been anything like this in our Country!” But guess what, we are still waiting.

Apparently, Trump and Rudy have so much evidence that instead of showing it to the courts, the press or even to us they would rather have the states that Trump “should” have won throw millions of Biden votes away or better still just nominate Trump “friendly” electors. They have so much evidence that Team Trump is asking Congress not to certify the electoral votes on January 6th. Do you see a trend here? Trumps got nothing except butt hurt feelings. He can’t believe that the majority of the American people rejected him. Haven’t you seen how big his MAGA rallies are? He can’t believe that we are tired of him. What we are tired of is all the noise, all the hate, and all the divisive rhetoric. As I wrote the other day the Trump experiment was a failure, a “tremendous, powerful” failure and his efforts to stay beyond January 20th will fail also.

But sane, rational people know that Trump isn’t trying to stay. He gave-up being President in 2018. He tried it for about two years, got bored and quit. What Trump is trying to do is monetize his remaining weeks as much as possible. He is trying to squeeze every nickel and every dime out of MAGA that he can and so are his kids. And the sad part is that he has made over $250,000,000 on this scheme and counting. Just remember when dealing with Trumpers, “We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.”

It’s almost over.
