Taking a break

So after 80 post in less than two months I am little blogged out at the moment. I am going to take a break of undetermined length but I will still respond to any questions, thoughts or comments you might have over the course of my posting absences. Maybe one of your thought provoking remarks will get my creative juices flowing again.

If you are an editor, publisher, or literary agent who has wanted to contact me about my unique spiritual writing style, don’t wait any longer, I am here, ready and waiting to be discovered!

So until next time……..May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

About ends and beginnings blog

I am a frustrated writer and poet waiting to be discovered. A stand-up philosopher performing on a street corner near you. A Christian with questions but I don’t want to hear your answers. A Buddhist with a bumper sticker on my truck to prove it. A collector of quotes. A grower of lettuce. The Patron Saint of earthworms who name their children after me. A cyclist whose big ass strains the seams of his Lycra bibs. I am American by birth, Southern by the grace of God. My goal in life is to leave an imprint on the lives of the people I love not a footprint on the earth. I am a son, a husband, a father composed of 65%-Oxygen, 18%-Carbon, 10%-Hydrogen, 3%-Nitrogen, 3%-Diet Coke and 1%-Oreo.

We all need a break. I take a blogging break from time to time to redirection or sort or deal with whatever situation comes up. Hey, don’t stay gone too long. Your unique brand is one I like. Can’t say it is too different from my own.

    • Thank you. Yes I would say we are on a similar trajectory. I don’t know where I am going most of the time though, I hope you do 🙂

        • Good, at least one of us will get to our destination.

Oh, I’m quite sure both of us will get there, even if one is not familiar with the route. 🙂

Interesting suggestion and not entirely impossible.
Down here, we find an emptiness about life because an element is missing. We search to find that missing element. We find other aspects of it in a different way of life. Now we have two things, different and somehow complimentary, but that elusive element is still a little beyond our grasp.
It is not in outward knowledge or understanding. It is in finding the inner voice. This is that which we search for, and when we find it, we find we have both travelled the path and arrived at the destination.

          • “Down here”-where is “Down here”? Where I am from “Down here” is not the place you want to go, “Up there” is the goal 🙂

I know. Try not to think in physical or in religious terms, but spiritually, conceptually. Down here is a position in the spirit, where it is not all clear yet.
I will probably come off sounding more like Buddha than Christ now, but really there is no difference if one can get to the conceptual level – the “up there” of the “down here”.
The up there is a place we occupy conceptually, and the down here is a place we occupy physically.
Most spirituality is down here, but it points to up there. Few cross over from the “Word” to the realization of what the Word is pointing to.
When one crosses over, one is automatically up there. In fact, they have created up there within their own soul. The Kingdom of Heaven is within you. It is both the path and the destination. It is understanding that our soul is limitless and free and that all power dwells within.
We’re down here until we get up there. But no one knows but ourselves when we cross over. It is simply a new way of looking at life, not as a co-inhabitor anymore, but as an all-powerful co-creator of the universe we live in.
Up there is all the same words and same thoughts as down here, but now the reality of the eternal paradigm has kicked in. We are no longer searching. We are part of the greater whole.

    • Yes it is. Normally something pops in my head on the pillow. I work through it for 15 minutes or so, go to sleep and write it in 20 or 30 minutes in the am. Been pretty dry lately. The funny thing is also, and I don’t know much about how WordPress works, my daily views have gone from 150 to 12 :). Damn, how easily people forget you! Thank you for stopping by love. I hope you are well.

I hope you come back on line soon. Sometimes we have to take a step away, regroup, and let the creative juices so to speak start to flow again. Ebbs and flows, the way of creation.
