Weighty matters

Trump weight

“Ronny Jackson has been palpably afraid of Trump’s “fury” for weeks now. Went back & forth before deciding to fudge the weight and BP numbers, among others, at Trump’s behest. Trump weighs 339, not 239. He’s a deep fried Orson Welles.” – Rogue WH Snr Advisor tweet 1-16-18

I honestly don’t give a shit how much Trump weighs. In my mind he would be a deranged, narcissistic idiot whether he weighed 180 or 480. Obviously, being a fat deranged, narcissistic idiot is more fun to poke a stick at than a skinny, healthier one but the weighty matter here is that even a Doctor, a man and a profession we should all be able to trust has to lie for “our” President because the facts don’t fit the truth in his head.

Over the last few days we have seen Republican Senators Tom Cotton and David Purdue insist, on network news, that Trump did not say “shithole countries” during a bipartisan meeting on immigration reform at the White House last week. Their story evolved from not hearing what Trump said to being emphatic that he didn’t say it contradicting Democrat Sen. Dick Durbin and Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham who were both in the same meeting.

Then yesterday, testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee under oath,  Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, who was also in the immigration meeting last week, couldn’t recall the exact language Trump used in describing immigrants from certain countries. And despite the efforts from both Durbin and Graham, who serve on the Judiciary Committee, to give Nielsen a safe way and place to save face and tell the truth she simply couldn’t and wouldn’t.

In a powerful and emotional statement during the hearing, Sen. Cory Booker told Nielsen; “When ignorance and bigotry is allied with power, it is a dangerous force in our country. Your silence and your amnesia is complicity.”

Trump’s weight really shouldn’t be a big deal. Honestly it shouldn’t even be in the news, but this story, this lie is a larger, no pun intended, symptom of the sickness that permeates this administration. Trump lives in an alternative universe where he is taller (he apparently grew an inch also), skinnier, and smarter than he really is and you either accept this fact, his facts or get bullied; “Senator Dicky Durbin totally misrepresented what was said at the DACA meeting. Deals can’t get made when there is no trust! Durbin blew DACA and is hurting our Military.”

TotalitarianOf or relating to a centralized government that does not tolerate parties of differing opinion and that exercises dictatorial control over many aspects of life. Exercising control over the freedom, will, or thought of others; authoritarian; autocratic.

Trump has one goal for America, to create a Totalitarian form of government just as his good friend, and mentor Vladimir Putin has implemented in Russia. The state news agency is in place (Fox), and he is consolidating his base of power by controlling the Legislative (Republican majority) and Judicial (appointments) branches of the government. He spoon feeds his base lies and bullshit like “90% of Trump 2017 news coverage was negative” -and much of it contrived! @foxandfriends” and “Unemployment for Black Americans is the lowest ever recorded. Trump approval ratings with Black Americans has doubled. Thank you, and it will get even (much) better! @FoxNews”. These are Trump facts, these are Trumps truths. He can’t prove them, back them up or verify them. But again, we either accept these facts, his facts or get bullied.

Trump doesn’t weigh 239 pounds. I agree with Rogue WH Snr Advisor, Dr. Ronny Jackson missed it by at least 100 pounds. The questions we need to ask our self is why not tell the truth? Why would a Doctor, Senators, an Administration Secretary lie? What is to be gained? What are they protecting? Better yet, what are they afraid of?

“When a figure in power reflexively calls any press that doesn’t suit him ‘fake news,’ it is that person who should be the figure of suspicion, not the press.” – Republican Sen. Jeff Flake

The doctor lied because his “commander in chief” gave him a direct order to do so. That is the ONLY reasonable explanation why a man who took an oath would break it.

    • Scary isn’t it? My daughter’s boyfriend is 6’5″, and weighs a skinny 250 pounds. I am 6’1″ and weigh a heavy 240 but I don’t look as fat as the Rump looks. I just imagine some fat, beer belly, redneck, deplorable, in Alabama thinking, “Damn, I knew those scales I bought at Dollar General were wrong!”
