Who is really watching?

The bouncing ball of Sean Hannity and Fox News;

1. There were no meetings with Russians.
2. There were no meetings during the campaign.
3. That person was not part of the campaign then.
4. All meetings with Russians are normal.
5. Where is the proof of collusion?
6. Collusion is not illegal.

Look, I get it. It is hard to stay in front of a story when the story-teller is the biggest con man the world has ever seen. But The Donald is leaning hard on Hannity to get the story right no matter how fast the story moves and Hannity is more than happy to be Trump’s lap-dog because it means one thing to Hannity and Fox News. And that one thing? MONEY! MONEY! MONEY!

Is Fox & Friends “blowing away the competition”? Their ratings are higher than MSNBC and CNN in the morning. But think about it like this, would an MSNBC or CNN viewer watch Fox News? No. Would an MSNBC viewer watch CNN or vice versa? Yes. I do it all the time. So really, just to make this fair, there are two groups here we are talking about, Fox News viewers and MSNBC & CNN viewers. That seems logical doesn’t it? So based on that assumption, the combined viewership of MSNBC & CNN beats the ratings of Fox News in the morning by a hair.

Here is the part I find so interesting, none of these three FOX, MSNBC or CNN have numbers that I would call BIG in the morning. Fox & Friends has 1.46 million total viewers, MSNBC’s Morning Joe has 1.04 million total viewers, and CNN’s New Day has 504,000 total viewers. All told, roughly 3,000,000 people watching. Now if you compare those numbers to ABC’s Good Morning America, NBC’s The Today Show and CBS’s This Morning these three programs, combined, reach 13,000,000 people. A pretty dramatic difference.

Why would I spend time-sharing this information with you? I want you to realize and understand that Fox News isn’t out there converting new Trumpets. They are talking to the same 25 to 30% they have always had on the hook. Their propaganda message isn’t expanding or spreading. They are beating down and spoon-feeding the same people they always have.

Fox News is an entertainment company. Watching The Sean Hannity Show is like watching Duck Dynasty or Wicked Tuna. It’s redneck reality television. You don’t have to think. You can drink beer, scratch your ass or pick your nose and watch all at the same time. If you miss an episode of Wicked Tuna don’t fear, next week they will be riding around in boats catching fish just like they were the week before. And if you miss Hannity on Tuesday just tune-in on Wednesday. He will still be talking about the Deep State, Hillary Clinton, James Comey, the Dossier paid for by the DNC, Obama…..

Here is all you have to remember the next time “our” President plugs Fox News, and I can promise you there will be a next time, it isn’t really news it’s simply entertainment for a very small segment of this country. But instead of highlighting the Kardashian’s their reality television personality and socialite just happens to be Donald Trump and his family. Maybe they should rename Fox News to “Keeping up with the Trumps”.
